Summer Newsletter 2008

Hello everyone!
Willie and I have been a bit busy over the last couple of months. In May we came back to Utah for my little sisters wedding. She got married on the golf course between my parents house and my grandparents. We had a great time. During the next week we spent time up in Logan with Willie's family and meeting a soon to be brother-in-law. I like when I get to come home and see family. I just wish we had more time to visit with friends as well. By the way Jacob Esplin I hope my mom got the old football to you. After a fun-filled week in Utah we traveled to California with my family. We met up with Shamu and Mickey and Minnie. We sure did have a long vacation, but it was worth it. Parker did pretty good the whole time, it was the getting back to our time in Georgia that was the killer. After a few weeks we got him back to the three hours earlier he was use to. Parker at eleven months started walking. He is up to about 10 steps at a time. It's fun to watch him grow up. He is a great kid. Willie's sister is getting married in July and she found a little tux for Parker to get dressed up in. He will be such a stud. Willie's work during the summer has allowed him to spend more time at home. At the end of June we moved to a new apartment just across the street from our old place. Across the street put us in a new ward, stake and mission. We will miss a few of the people we met in our old ward, but we are still close enough that we may get to see them every once in a while. Our first night in our new apartment Willie tried to use the shower and instead of the water going in the tub it went into the wall. After about 45 minutes we were finally able to get the water shut off. Our neighbors below us were kind and they understood that it wasn't done on purpose. We had a great time with it. We took some fun pictures. Happy Birthday to those of you who celebrated in the last few months, and happy weddings too. Congratulations to those who are expecting or who delivered! I hope that everyone is in good health and happy.
see y'all later

Hello everyone!! Sorry it has been so long. Things are going well here in Salt Lake. I just finished my 12 week internship at the U of U inpatient rehabilitation unit. I learned so much and met so many brave and amazing people, but I am glad to get a break. I only have classes this fall, one more 12 week internship, and then i'm done (yipeee!!) Shane is doing well, working and paying our bills (he has moved up to a 2nd pressman for the LDS church's printing center). Other than that, we are enjoying some much needed time together and are going on a small trip next week for some camping and four wheeling. I hope everyone else is doing well.

Hey everyone!
I just graduated in May with a degree in math teaching. My minor is in PE/Coaching. I will be teaching at North Ogden Junior High. I'm the assistant coach for softball, head coach for boys' basketball and girls' basketball, and I coach high jump.I spent my summer working as the director of a camp for kids with disabilities. I've come out of it with bruises, bites, and scratches, but most importantly a better understanding. Life is great!

Mark and I are enjoying our summer as new parents. We are having so much fun with Gracie. She is 7 1/2 weeks now and so sweet! I wish I could attach some pictures, but right now I am on a computer in McCall, Idaho on Mark's family reunion. If you've never been here, you should come. It is so pretty and peaceful. We went river rafting today, to the lake yesterday, and are going hiking tomorrow. On our way here we had the opportunity to attend the Twin Falls Temple open house and a session at the Boise Temple, too. Both are absolutely beautiful. I'll try to attach some pictures of all this for the next blog. The rest of the summer has been lots of fun, and we are planning to go visit Mark's sister and family in Pittsburgh to finish off our summer. I'm not going to be teaching this coming year, so that I can stay home with Gracie, but Mark will be busy working and finishing his last semester at school. That's about it, but I'm really excited to hear from the rest of you!
Love,

Hello everyone,
My summer has been great. We have had some awesome adventures! We went Canyoneering in Keyhole Canyon at Zion National Park. Once you start the canyon you can't go back. It's not that long but it takes awhile because of all the repels. DON'T DO IT WITHOUT A WET SUIT! The water is way way way to cold - we didn't know going into it. I have attached a couple pictures. We also did a little Mountain Boarding; you can see more pics on our blog at: http://miles-circlem.blogspot.com/. My husband is great; he planned a whole day of activities for my birthday. I had no idea; it was all a complete surprise. He even got me off work without me knowing. First we went on a hot air balloon ride in Eden, had a breakfast picnic, got a couples massage at a day spa, had family portraits taken, dinner at Rickenbakers, and then we took the ATV's up Benlomand peak to look at the stars. We had tons of fun. For those who know my sister, she and her husband are having a little baby boy this December. No kids for me yet. I'm still trading the stock market, forex, equities, etc. I really enjoy it even though it can about give you a heart attach some days. My sister and I still own and run our small nutritional supplement company TriElements too. And my husband still works for Weber County as a Sheriff Deputy. That's about it for me - it's good to hear from all of you once and awhile.

Hi everyone!!! I hope that everyone is doing great! Congratulations to all that have had little babies. Congrats Mark and Natalie…little Gracie is so cute! Congrats Alisa and Corey…that is so exciting that you are having a little girl! Congrats to Misty on your little baby! Congratulations to Thom and Darcey on your wonderful marriage! Happy birthday to little Parker Harrison! I can’t believe that summer is almost over! These past couple of months have been filled with holidays, vacations, and work. My family bought a timeshare so we went to Vegas in July! It was super HOT as you could imagine…temps reached up to 115 degrees!!! I stayed at the Grandview Las Vegas Condos…it was really nice. There is so much to do while in Vegas. We went to a Variety Show at Planet Hollywood which was pretty good! I went to Red Rock Canyons and hiked one of the many trails. My sister and I went and saw Natasha Bedingfield and The Veronicas in concert at the House of Blues. It was a great concert! We also got a few laughs out of it…there is always that one drunk person that just makes a fool out of themselves:). The 4th of July was fun…filled with parades, bbq, and fireworks. I went to the Riverdale fireworks this year and thought they were pretty good compared to years past. I also went up to my cabin up in Bear Lake a couple of weeks ago which was really relaxing. The weather was great and so was the water… that is once you get in! Besides the holidays and vacations…everything is about the same with me. Work at the pharmacy is good. I have been a little busy with wedding guestbook’s these past couple of months. I finished my last guestbook just in time to start reading the book “Breaking Dawn”! I was so excited for this book to come out as most of you were who are obsessed with the books as I am…you know who you are! I hope that everyone has enjoyed their summer!

We can't believe just how fast this summer has flown by!! Corey is wrapping up his summer internship with C&S today. We fly home to Utah for the month of August--it would be so great to meet up with those of you who are still in town!! We've enjoyed being here in Keene, NH. It's a small town, but it has just the right amount of stores you need, PLUS they have some small restaurants with chefs who are tired of the big cities and just want to start their own little place in a small, low-key town. We've eaten at a couple of really good---yummy places. They use their produce from local farms so it's all very fresh. There are also some wonderful farm stands here--I love fresh fruits and veggies! Boston is close enough to go down and have a good time, too.
The lifestyle is ideal for a family--Corey was off work at 5:30 every day and it was so nice not to have homework in the evenings/early mornings. We've been able to do some hiking and camping here among the green--you just have to bring a lot of DEET. These bugs are huge!!
We've had family come, which as also made this summer go so fast! My brother, Kyle, came out for my birthday/Senior Trip (I know, such an awesome brother) and then my sister, Lori, came with her friend--from here we went to Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island. I am definately planning on taking Corey to PEI--not for Anne's Land, but for some great golfing and relaxing--gorgeous scenery.
Yesterday was monumental---our car hit 200,000 miles!!! Yes, we both witnessed the event for sure. Our little white Honda has certainly been good to us. As long as were nice to it, I think it'll last us a couple more years. :)
Life has been so great--this little girl of ours keeps growing and I swear I've popped out only within the last week or so. It's been a little hard to get comfortable at night, but hey--it's all part of it.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer days and like I said, I'd love to meet up with anyone who might be in town during August!
Until the next time,
Alisa Crowell
