Spring 2009

Krista (Harrison) Combe says:
Hi everyone. Life in Georgia is going great. Lincoln is almost three months old. I can't believe his is growing so quickly. I am starting to move him out of his newborn clothes. I didn't even get to put him in all the outfits we have for him. Parker is a great big brother. The two boys are 18 months apart and I think, for now, it's a great age separation. Willie's mom and youngest sister came to visit during the fist part of April. We had a blast with them. Willie is finishing up the semester at Tech and preparing to go to Germany. In the next few days we'll find out if we pack our bags for three months at the end of the summer to head for Boston! Our summer plans include a trip back to Utah for three weeks. We are excited to run in the Riverdale 5k race. If we are ever there during the 4th of July we have to be in that race, it's kind of tradition. I have been learning to sew a little. Even though I don't have a sewing machine, my friends are letting me use theirs. The spring is wonderful out here. I love the rain storms we've been getting and the fresh new leaves and flowers popping up. General Conference was awesome and I loved Elder Hollands talk. Our health is good and we are happy. Congratulations to those of you who are enjoying life and having great adventures. Enjoy Spring!

Just to update everyone, Gracie is 10 months now and I can't believe that she'll be a year so soon! She is the love of our life and very entertaining. Mark is in Washington DC right now on a sales trip. He's looking for another job that he enjoys, pays well, and keeps us in state. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know. I'm just staying busy with Gracie and baby-sitting/substitute teaching a couple days a week. There's not much else to tell, besides the fact that we are looking forward to our St. George trip in May and our family reunion in Lake Tahoe in July....yeah summer!

Love,

Our little family has had many changes in the last few months. Last year, my husband had multiple job problems. After the sixth job change, we decided that we must not be doing what we were supposed to be doing. Phil has always had a dream to get a degree in sound recording technology and open up a recording studio of his own. So in December, we decided it was time to pursue that dream. The only program in Utah is at BYU. Phil played the tenor saxophone in high school and at Weber State. He pulled it out and got his chop s back enough to audition and get accepted into BYU's School of Music (that's a pretty big deal, competition is pretty tough). We put our house up for rent, found an apartment in Provo and have been down here for a little over a month. It has been a difficult transition going from a nice big house to a small apartment, but it will be worth it in the long run. He will love going to school and having a job in the music industry. I'm so proud of him for trying to live his dream. He is working as a mortgage loan officer. The office he works out of is in Ogden so he has to drive up that way a couple of times a week, but mostly works remotely. If you are looking into buying a house, he does a really great job! Carson and I love having so many parks and stores within walking distance. The Provo River Parkway is just a couple of minutes away so we go on walks on sunny days. That's about it for us! Hope everything is wel l with all of you!

Hello Everyone! I've enjoyed catching up with many of you through reading your posts. Feel free to say hi on my blog at: CJandShalise.blogspot.com. My wi fe and I were married August 7th, 2008, prior to that we dated for 3 and half years. We are expecting our first baby on July 7th, a baby girl. We already have a named picked out...Ellie Anne Kelson. We are very excited and it's been very enjoyable being able to see many of you and your families through the blog. I hope everyone is d oing well and I look forward to hearing more about everyone else and their exciting lives =) Take care!

Hey everyone! It's been a while... Well, not too much is going on with me. I just got back from my mission a few weeks ago, and now I'm just trying to get back into regular life. I absolutely LOVED my mission! It's the best thing that I've done in my whole life, and it has changed me forever. My testimony of God's love for us, of His hand in our lives, and the restoration of His gospel has grown so much! I served in the California Oakland mission (Spanish-speaking), with an assignment at the Oakland Temple Visitors' Center; the BEST!! Other than that, I'm looking for a good job (know of any?), I'm going back to the U this summer, my little sister is getting married on May 23, and that's about it! Hope all is well with y'all!
Love,
Yandary :o)

Happy Spring! I'm so excited to finally see color! Elsie will be 6 months next week! Ahh! I have a 6 month-old?? Craziness. Darling craziness. Corey is wrapping up is second year at the "B School" and we can't believe just how fast time disappears! We're getting all nostalgic about everything here in Boston. I will so miss the great restaurants, the runs along the Charles River, and most of all the great friends we've made. It's always hard to close a chapter and yet it's so exciting to begin another...if we only knew for sure how to begin or what to write for the beginning of the new. We'll soon find out. :) Glad to hear you all are doing great. Thanks for posting amidst Facebook, Twitter, and all the other sites that connect people. :)
Best,
Corey, Alisa, & Elsie Jayne

Below are some pics from the LDS Girls' Half-Marathon along the Charles River..you can see the skyline in the background....sigh. :)
