February Newsletter 2008

Krista (Combe) Harrison says:
I haven't written for a little bit, but congratulations to all those who are engaged, having babies, and enjoying life! Atlanta has been really nice lately, but I do miss the snow. Willie and I had our anniversary in January. We took our little boy, Parker, to the Georgia Aquarium during that time. We are looking forward to the next few months. Being so far away from home we enjoy the times we get to see family. My Grandma Combe is coming to visit in March and then we get to go to Disneyland in May just after my little sister gets married. Willie is spending a lot of time at school and work, which gives me a lot of time to play with Parker. Parker has been sitting up on his own and he is starting to learn to crawl. We started him on solid foods, which is fun. We wish he could stay little, but we really like to see him grow and develop. I know I didn't have much to say this time but I hope that you all are doing great! -krista

Mark and Natalie (Pugmire) Hincks say:
We're doing well, just counting down the days until the snow is gone and we have our little girl. We are past the half-way mark now! Our due date is June 22nd. We are thinking of naming her Grace or Gracie. Mark is in Hawaii right now for his job...I wish I were that lucky. Fortunately, it's just a short trip. Unfortunately, he's going to be in Florida for the month of May and part of June selling security systems, while I stay behind to finish up my teaching and pregnancy here. Life is good, though. I can't really complain. I've felt excellent throughout my pregnancy so far. Well, hope y'all are doing well. -Natalie Hincks

Nate and Britni (Hall) Watkins write:
Nate and I have been busy...as I'm sure you all have. I've been trying to keep up full time work being 31 weeks pregnant...which is challenging when you are on your feet for 12 hours at a time! Lots of back pain comes along with that. Nate is trying to get through the last few months of school to graduation-he doesn't have much motivation to study since he's already been accepted into dental school...but is doing well regardless. To top it all off, we have been moving out of our duplex in with Nate's parents for the next 6 months to save some money for moving expenses, baby, and buying a new place when we get to Ohio. So I've been doing all the packing of boxes and such since I cannot lift much myself! We are planning on moving out to Ohio at the end of August-first of September. By that time our little boy will be over 4 months old! Anyhow, things are going well, just living life!

Alisa (DeYoung) Crowell says:
It's so great to hear from you all! Corey and I are so wishing for the Spring to be here! Fellow Bostonians tell us to expect Winter until April--sometimes even into May!!! Walking across the bridge is a bit brutal sometimes. :) Ohh man, I have no idea what I'm going to do! I love summer! We miss how the snow sticks to the ground--it sort of melts with all the rain here. I will say that when we get a fresh snowstorm it is absolutely breathtaking! The trees are incredible. We ate at a fabulous restaurant called Olive's in Charlestown--the vanilla souffle was a HIT! The BEST I've ever had! They drop two scoops of icecream right in the middle--it is divine. If you're ever in town, be sure to make a reservation at Olive's. Other than that, we continue learnin' the ropes around heah'.
